Pet Care Franchise’s 7th Location to Open in Bergen County, New Jersey
Doggie daycare franchise Hounds Town USA is gearing up for another location opening, its second in New Jersey and 7th overall. The 8,000 square foot facility, located at 450 Main Street in Lodi, was recently approved by the Town Board and owners Steven and Anthony have build-out nearly completed. “We are striving for an August soft opening, with a grand opening around Labor Day,” explains Steve.”We are looking forward to being a staple in our community!”
The doggie daycare facility will offer multiple playrooms for dogs of all sizes and breeds, luxury suites (designed as the fire station, post office, police station, and other elements of a town) overnight town homes, cat boarding villas, a full service doggie day spa, and an expansive retail shop. The pet care facility will also offer a pet taxi service to and from the train station at popular times during the morning and evening to make transportation more convenient for customers. “Anthony and Steve are smart and savvy business owners, as well as avid dog lovers, and that is a winning combination for success within our model,” explains Jackie Bondanza, President of Hounds Town, Inc. The corporate team-including Jackie, fellow franchise owner Marianne Carrano Desczc, and Founder and CEO Mike Gould-has been busy training the new franchisees and providing guidance on the build out process.
As New Jersey natives, Steve and Anthony knew the need for a fully interactive daycare like Hounds Town existed in bustling Bergen County. When Steve, who spent his career in retail and financial services, adopted an adorable pup named Cooper he set out to find a fun and safe environment for him while he was at work. He had no such luck. “I couldn’t find a place with the family feel I was looking for,” explains Steve. “I decided then it was time to take a step and create a place for him. The moment I spoke to Mike and Jackie I knew that Hounds Town was the perfect fit.” His business partner Anthony has a very entrepreneurial mindset and has started various small businesses while getting his degrees, and currently works as a financial advisor. “I was quickly drawn to Hounds Town because of my love for animals and the franchise offers a unique way to help dogs and the community,” says Anthony.
