*Not an offer to sell a franchise. Net Operating Income is based on unaudited financials from reporting franchisees for the calendar year 2023. In our item 19, we reported on one affiliate-owned Hounds Town business and 36 of the 54 franchised Hounds Town businesses that were operating as of December 31, 2023. We excluded data from17 franchised businesses that did not operate for all twelve months of the 2023 calendar year, and one franchised business that receives revenue from sources not available to all franchisees. We divided the reporting businesses into four subsets based on their time in operation as of December 31, 2023. Of the franchisees operating between 5 - 10 years, one of the three (33%) franchisees achieved a Net Operating Income equal to or exceeding the average Net Operating Income of $330,402 for the subset. Of the franchisees operating between 2 - 3 years, one of the three (33%) franchised Hounds Town Businesses achieved Net Operating Income equal to or exceeding the average Net Operating Income of $232,176 for the subset. Of the four subsets, the franchised Hounds Town Businesses operating for 5 - 10 years had the second-highest average Net Operating Income and the franchised Hounds Town Businesses operating 2 - 3 years had the third-highest average Net Operating Income. The highest average Net Operating Income ($459,735) was reported by a subset of two businesses operating over ten years consisting of one affiliate-owned Hounds Town Business and one franchised Hounds Town business. One or two (50%) of the Hounds Town Businesses in this subset exceeded the average. The affiliate-owned business was the business that exceeded the average with its Net Operating Income of $1,446,326. The lowest average Net Operating Income ($49,402) was reported by a subset of 16 franchised Hounds Town businesses operating between one and two years. Six of 16 (38%) of the franchised Hounds Town Businesses in this subset met or exceeded this average. Net Operating Income is defined as gross profit less operating expenses. Net Operating Income does not include the deduction of other non-operating expenses, including interest, depreciation, amortization, taxes, or owners’ draw or owners’ compensation.
